Who rents this
Charter guests and villa groups who want one box that does everything and doesn’t look like production gear. When something else is better
- You want the party to look like a party — the JBL PartyBox 710 has a built-in light show; the Bose is deliberately plain. The JBL PartyBox 310 is the same idea for a smaller group, with an 18-hour battery and wheels

- Beach, tender, or anything the speaker will get wet and sandy on — the S1 is weather-resistant, not sealed. The Soundboks Go is IP65 and rated to be dropped, which for a week of boat days is the difference that matters
What to plug into it
Two combo XLR/TRS inputs means this doubles as a small PA for a speech without any extra kit:
- Sennheiser EW-D wireless handheld for toasts and MCing — the receiver’s XLR goes straight into channel one.
- Sennheiser EW-D ME 2 lavalier for a ceremony, where the person speaking shouldn’t be holding anything.
- Shure SM58 on a cable, as the cheap backup that cannot run out of battery.
