If you’ve got lasers, moving heads or beam lights, you NEED a hazer. Without something in the air, the beams just disappear. The Z-350 puts out a fine, even haze that hangs around for ages — totally different from a smoke machine which dumps a big cloud and then leaves nothing.
Plug in, set output on the panel, walk away. We include 1L of haze fluid.
What’s in the rental
- Antari Z-350 Fazer + power cable
- 1L of water-based haze fluid (enough for a full evening at 20% output)
- 3-5 day lead time
What to know
- Works indoors AND outdoors, but wind kills the effect outside — best in marquees, covered terraces, indoor
- Set output to ~20% and forget it. The haze builds up over the first 10-15 minutes.
- Some villa smoke alarms will trigger on haze. Disable them temporarily or test before guests arrive.
What to put it with
The fazer is a support act. Rent it because you already have something that throws a beam:
- Cameo Wookie 200 animation laser or the Laserworld EL-230RGB — lasers are the fixtures that fail hardest without haze. Book one without the other and you’ll be disappointed.
- Eurolite TMH-X4 zoom wash pair — the 1°-40° zoom only reads as a moving shaft of colour when there’s haze for it to cut through.
- Stairville MH-100 beam pair or the brighter Cameo MOVO BEAM Z 100 pair — 8° and 4°-30° beams respectively, both of which are just spots on the floor in clean air.
- 4× LED PAR uplight set — less critical here, since PARs wash surfaces rather than throw beams, but haze still deepens the colour.
When something else is better
- You want a visible cloud, not an even haze — for a dramatic burst behind the DJ or a low-lying entrance moment, rent the Antari Z-1500 smoke machine (or the compact Z-1000X MK3 for a smaller room) instead. Fazers deliberately never look like a cloud.
- Daytime — haze does nothing in sunlight. Bubbles are the daylight equivalent.
