What people add to this
- RCF SUB 705-AS MK3 — the one upgrade that changes the character of this rig rather than just the volume. Two 15-inch tops go loud but the low end runs out; the sub takes XLR in and passes thru to the tops, so it drops into the signal chain without a mixer change. Book it if the music is house, hip-hop or anything where the kick is the point.
- A wireless mic — the tops take XLR/TRS on two channels each, so a Sennheiser EW-D handheld receiver plugs straight in for speeches, or the EW-D ME 2 lavalier if the person speaking needs both hands. A Shure SM58 on a cable is the cheap backup that never fails.
- EcoFlow Delta 2 Max — if there’s no socket where the party is. This is a mains rig; without power it’s two boxes on sticks.
When something else is better
- Nowhere to plug in at all — the JBL EON ONE MK2 is the battery answer at this kind of volume: 1500W peak, ~6h of hot-swap battery, and one person can carry it.
- The gear can’t look like gear — two black 15-inch boxes on tripods look like production, because they are. The Bose L1 Pro16 is the slim mains column that disappears into a villa terrace instead, with 180° coverage rather than two aimed boxes.
- You already have tops and just need height — the stands here are Gravity SP 5212, rentable on their own.
